At about 4:30 we tried to get in a boat to get to the WGFA studios. It was frozen up. So was the second boat. Broadcast with a Marti transmitter from my car and a laptop with Verizon aircard and the iPhone kept us in contact with local officials.

After working in Wisconsin radio for several years in the 90’s I remember my first morning gig at WLDY playing an hour of Polka in the mornings. As the song goes… “In Heaven There Is No Beer… That’s Why We Drink It All Here…”
